Hello! My name is Tawny Austin. I’m a character animator with 3+ years of animation industry experience and a decade of 1-on-1 freelancing experience. I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone’s College of Art & Design with a First Class Honours in 2020, and I’m currently working on my Master’s degree!

I’ve worked with Wild Child Animation based in Stirling, Scotland, specialising in 2D rigged character animation for the Sky TV show “The Brilliant World of Tom Gates”. I’ve also worked on various projects including the short film Fox Fires which sits at 7+ million views on youtube, and my current ongoing passion project, DRM-GRLZ!, a webcomic estimated to run for about 300 pages.

My main skill is 2D character animation, both hand-drawn and puppet. I’m well versed with Toon Boom Harmony, Storboard Pro and TVPaint. My other skills include storyboarding, scene assembly, and character design. I’ve a particular knack for animating animal characters, and I’m a passionate comic artist in my free time. Right now I’m working on expanding my skill-set to include 3D animation!

I happily slot into any animating role, but I can also adjust easily to niche roles that need filling such as scene assembly.
